Barbington B. Freeman’s blends West African, Caribbean, American and European cuisine into a sumptuous tapestry of aroma and taste, His mother back in Liberia, West Africa, encouraged this gift, keeping watchful eye over him as he attempted elaborate meals. He graduated with Honors from Culinary School in 1996 and served as Sous-Chef at the Hilton in Minnesota before transferring to The Sheraton Suites in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania upon request from his General Manager.

He was Founding Partner and Executive Chef of B-Free and Dee’s Tree of Life, an iconic Soul and African fusion restaurant in Philadelphia, PA. Today he is Owner and Executive Chef of B-Free Catering LLC – Chef on Wheels, a fine cuisine catering company specializing in meeting the fine dining needs of clients and events across the United States of America.
